As reported, LG earlier today at an event in Mumbai has officially announced the launch of its flagship smartphone the LG G3 in the Indian market. LG G3 was originally announced back in May and comes with top-tier specifications and features. The key feature of G3 is its 2K Quad HD display having resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and 13MP rear camera with laser auto-focus.
LG has launched the G3 in India in three colours which include Metallic Black, Silk White and Shine Gold. The smartphone comes in two storage options which include 16GB and 32GB, with 16GB variant comes with 2GB RAM and the 32GB variant comes with 3GB of RAM. LG has priced the 16GB G3 in India at Rs. 47,990, on the other hand the 32GB G3 is priced at Rs. 50,990.
As an introductory offer, LG is offering lots of freebies along with the G3. Early G3 buyers will get free QuickCircle case worth Rs. 3,500, free One time screen replacement worth Rs. 6,500 and Rs. 5,000 discount coupon for purchase of LG G Watch with the G3.
Lastly, as expected, LG has introduced a limited edition of G3 with Amitabh Bachchan's signature on the back of the device. This special edition G3 is called as The Big B Edition LG G3, with on 15,000 units of this edition up for sale. Lucky customers would get a chance to meet Big B personally. LG is also planning to launch the G Pad series in the country soon along with more smartphones.
Talking about the specifications, LG G3 comes with a 5.5-inch Quad HD IPS display with 538ppi pixel density, 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, Adreno 330 GPU and Android 4.4.2 KitKat with LG's newly customized flat UI on top. The smartphone measures 146.3 x 74.6 x 8.9 mm and weights 149 grams.
Other specifications include an 13MP rear camera with LED flash, Laser Auto Focus and OIS+, 2.1MP front facing camera and removable 3,000 mAh battery. As said above, the 16GB version of G3 comes with 2GB RAM, while the 32GB version comes with 3GB RAM, both with upto 128GB supported microSD card support.
Connectivity series include 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0 with APT-X, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, USB 2.0, NFC, HDMI via Slim Port, DLNA, WiFi Direct and A-GPS/GLONASS. On the software front, LG has stuffed the G3 with loads of features, including Smart Security, Knock Code, Kill Switch, Content Lock, Guest Mode, Smart Keyboard and lots more.
