Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet with 10.1-inch display, Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB RAM now available in India for Rs. 49,890

Sony has silently started selling a new tablet in the Indian market recently. Dubbed as Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet, the same was originally announced earlier this year in February at the MWC 2014 event. The Xperia Z2 Tablet is the successor of last year announced Xperia Z1 Tablet. The tablet comes in black colour and is now available in India from various online retailers.

Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet is now available in India from online retailers Snapdeal and Infibeam for Rs. 49,890 and Rs. 49,990 respectively. Meanwhile, Flipkart has listed the same as out of stock for Rs. 48,999 and HomeShop18 for Rs. 48,949. 

In addition, Sony India has also listed the Xperia Z2 Tablet on its official website for Rs. 49,990. There is no word on official launch yet, though it might happen soon, maybe in a week or two.

Talking about the specifications, Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet comes with a 10.1-inch Full HD WUXGA TRILUMINOS display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB RAM and Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The tablet is water and dust proof, and is the world’s thinnest waterproof tablet measuring just 6.4mm and weights 426 grams.

Other specifications include an 8MP rear snapper, 2.2MP front facing snapper, 16GB internal storage with expandable using microSD card and 6,000 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, MHL 3.0, GPS with GLONASS and NFC to ensure that you are connected at all times with the world.
