Sony has shortened the flagship lifecycle to 6 months and the rumour mill has already started churning out what the next Sony flagship will come with. Details about the Xperia Z3 have been leaked by the popular leakster @evleaks after its images started doing the rounds over the internet. The details appear to be true judging by the credibility of the leakster.
@evleaks has also leaked two new images of the Xperia Z3, which shows the back and right side of the device, confirming that the device will have more curved sides rather than edged.
The Xperia Z3 will come with the model number D6653. The screen will have a size of 5.15-inch with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the same as Xperia Z2. The processor, however will see a bump to being a 2.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 SoC coupled with Adreno 330 GPU. A 3GB RAM will be present for multitasking and will run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
But it might get upgraded to Android L too before it gets launched. The internal storage capacity will stand at 16GB which will be expandable by another 64GB/128GB. At the back will be the same 20.7MP camera that is present in the Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z2 and 2.1MP front facer. Battery capacity is still a mystery.
The smartphone is expected to come with a rich retail package if the Xperia Z2 is to be taken as an example. The IFA 2014 is expected to play host to the launch of the smartphone later this year in September.
