Clicking selfies is the latest trend and the self portrait shots have become the most popular type of photos these days. Understanding this, many manufacturers are coming up with selfie focused smartphones that will keep trend going. It appears like Samsung is one such vendor as it announced the Galaxy Note 4 will such selfie focused front-facer and now, the Galaxy Grand Prime leak also suggests the same.
The leaked photos of the handset suggest that there will be a 5MP front-facer onboard that is a significant improvement as compared to the 2MP one in the previous generation Grand devices.
Despite the front camera, the Galaxy Grand Prime is also speculated to boast of an 8MP primary camera with support for Full HD 1080p video recording. Under the hood, the device is claimed to be powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor paired with 1GB of RAM and Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The device measures 144 x 72 x 8.6mm and has 2,600 mAh battery capacity.
The upcoming Grand model is likely to include a 5-inch display with a qHD screen resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. Like the other handsets in the Grand lineup, the Grand Prime will also be a dual SIM offering packed with connectivity features such as 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. It is said to bundle 8GB of internal storage capacity that can be expanded using a microSD card.
The leak that comes from Vietnam suggests that the Galaxy Grand Prime should be arriving in October for 4990000 Vietnamese Dong (Rs. 14,300 & $235). If the rumoured specifications turn out to be true, this will be the first Samsung smartphone to come with a high resolution front facer.
