Since quite sometime, the tech media world is abuzz with reports regarding the HTC’s Double Exposure event slated to take place on October 8th. Lately, it was speculated that the Taiwan based tech firm will be launching the One (M8) Eye smartphone with a 13MP Duo Camera setup alongside a RECamera to compete with the GoPro at the event. Now, there are fresh leaks from Twitter user @upleaks that reveal the press shots of a yet to be announced smartphone dubbed HTC Desire Eye.
In addition, the Desire Eye smartphone’s possible specifications have also come to light and they reveal the incorporation of a 5.2-inch Full HD display with 1080p resolution, 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and 2GB of RAM. Also, it is likely to include 32GB of internal storage capacity that can be expanded externally by another 128GB and a 2,400 mAh battery to keep things juiced up.
The source also hints that the upcoming smartphone might feature the IPX7 certification for water resistance and boast smooth edges. It is claimed to arrive with dual colors such as white back with red sides and dark blue back with cyan sides.
Moreover, the Desire Eye smartphone appears to implement an enhanced version of Sense 6 UI with new selfie focused controls. It is also revealed that the Butterfly 2 and One (M8) smartphones will receive an update to get the selfie focused features before the rollout of Android L update, whereas the other devices such as One (E8), One Mini 2, Desire 816, One (M7), One Mini and One Max will receive them alongside Android L update.
