Soon after the firm announced the HTC One (M8) flagship model earlier this year, there were leaks suggesting that One (M8) Mini and One Max 2 are in the works, but only the miniature was unleashed. Now, a MyDrivers.com report has claimed that the One Max successor will be coming this quarter and it will arrive with upgraded specifications.

The report reveals that the handset will boast of a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with 2560x1440 pixel resolution that is the booming trend arriving in few premium offerings. The One Max 2 is claimed to equip a 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and run on the latest iteration of Android topped with Sense 6.5 UI. There are speculations that the device will use a 3,000 mAh battery and arrive with an 18MP rear camera teamed up with OIS.

Moreover, the report claims that HTC will be using silicon carbide alloy and aluminum for the chassis of the One Max 2 to render a premium look and sturdy feel to the device.
