LG to roll-out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for LG G3 starting this week in Poland

The South Korean tech giant LG is not only in plans to upgrade its Nexus devices – Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 to Android 5.0 Lollipop, but also its current flagship model, LG G3. LG has officially announced that it will roll-out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for G3 starting this week. The update will be rolled out first in Poland followed by other key markets.

The South Korean tech giant LG is not only in plans to upgrade its Nexus devices – Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 to Android 5.0 Lollipop, but also its current flagship model, LG G3. LG has officially announced that it will roll-out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for G3 starting this week. The update will be rolled out first in Poland followed by other key markets.

LG is the first major smartphone manufacturer to offer the Lollipop update to its flagship smartphone. The company will subsequently announce an upgrade schedule for other LG mobile devices in the coming weeks. Additional details related to LG devices will be announced as the Lollipop update becomes available in local markets, says LG.

Android 5.0 Lollipop update brings host of improvements including a new design language with added depth, shadows and animations called Material Design, improved notifications panel with a new layout and color scheme, notifications on lock screen, Smart Lock security feature which enables users to unlock their smartphone when it is physically near a pre-registered Bluetooth device, Android Runtime (ART) software to improve performance and more.
