The benchmarks for new smartphones are usually welcome as they let us see how they stack up to those devices that already exist in the market. Also, they reveal what hardware is running under the hood of the upcoming devices. A new set of benchmarks has surfaced that tells us what the Samsung Galaxy Grand 3 (SM-G7200) has onboard.

As per the GFX Benchmark listing, the device carries the model number SM-G7200 and it appears to feature a 5.5-inch display with HD 1280x720 pixel resolution. This is definitely larger than the 5.2-inch display on the Galaxy Grand 2.

As per the listing, the Galaxy Grand 3 (or whatever it will be called in final) is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor that is teamed up with 1.5GB of RAM and Adreno 306 graphics unit for multi-tasking and graphic handling.

The major improvement in the next generation model is the imaging hardware. The Galaxy Grand 3 is likely to boast of a 12MP or 13MP primary snapper and a 5MP front facing camera. This is a notable enhancement as compared to the 8MP main camera and 1.9MP front facer on the Galaxy Grand 2.

It is believed that the upcoming device will be running on Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box and sport 16GB internal storage space. The Galaxy Grand 3 is expected to launch in India first in the coming weeks.
