Samsung has officially announced the launch of the Galaxy Note Edge in the Indian market recently. The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge was officially announced earlier this year in September at IFA 2014 along with the Galaxy Note 4. The Galaxy Note Edge comes in Black and White colours and is priced at whooping Rs. 64,900.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy Note Edge will be available across the country through select retailers starting first week of January. The Note Edge is currently available globally only in select markets which include South Korea and U.S.
Samsung Galaxy Edge comes with unique curved Edge screen, with which users can quick access to frequently used apps, alerts and device functionality – even when the cover is closed – all with the swipe of a thumb. Users can also receive notifications directly on the Edge Screen while watching videos without disturbing their viewing.
Specifications-wise, the Galaxy Note Edge comes with a 5.6-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display, 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB RAM and Android 4.4.4 KitKat. The smartphone is 8.3mm thick and weights 174 grams.
Other specifications include an 16MP rear camera with Smart OIS, 3.7MP front facing shooter with Selfie and Wide Selfie feature, 32GB internal storage with expandable using microSD card and 3,000 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 4G LTE Cat 6 / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac MIMO PCle, Bluetooth 4.1 BLE ANT+, NFC, IR LED, USB 2.0, MHL 3.0 and GPS / GLONASS.
