HTC Desire Eye with 13MP front camera available in India for Rs. 35,990

HTC has finally released the October launched Desire Eye in the Indian market. HTC Desire Eye was launched in India back in October and was scheduled to go on sale exclusively on Amazon in November, but it didn't. Now, Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom has revealed that the Desire Eye is available for purchase for Rs. 35,990, with MRP of Rs. 36,990.

HTC has finally released the October launched Desire Eye in the Indian market. HTC Desire Eye was launched in India back in October and was scheduled to go on sale exclusively on Amazon in November, but it didn't. Now, Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom has revealed that the Desire Eye is available for purchase for Rs. 35,990, with MRP of Rs. 36,990.

HTC Desire Eye comes in blue, red and white colour options. The smartphone is also found listed on Flipkart carrying price-tag of Rs. 36,500, but is out of stock. 

The Desire Eye comes with two camera centric applications which include Eye Experience that combines features including Split Capture and Crop Me In, and the latest iteration of Zoe video editing tool. Other features include Face Tracking, Screen Share, Face Fusion, Live Makeup, Auto Selfie, Voice Selfie and Photo Booth. 

Talking about the specifications, HTC Desire Eye comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB RAM and Android 4.4.4 KitKat with HTC Sense UI. The smartphone measures 151.7 x 73.8 x 8.5mm and weights 154 grams.

Other specifications include an 13MP rear camera with f/2.0, 28 mm lens and dual-LED flash, 13MP front facing camera with f/2.2, 22 mm lens and dual-LED flash, 16GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB with the help of a microSD card and 2,400 mAh battery. Connectivity features onboard are 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX, NFC, DLNA and GPS with GLONASS. 

The Desire Eye has dual front-facing stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers as in the other HTC smartphones. There are 3 microphones for enhanced background noise cancellation. Furthermore, the Desire Eye comes with IPX7 rating that makes it water and dust resistant.
