Yota Devices recently entered in the Indian market with the announcement of YotaPhone, which comes with dual-display. Now, Yota Devices has officially announced the second-generation YotaPhone dubbed as YotaPhone 2 globally. The YotaPhone 2 was originally showcased earlier this year in February at the MWC. Similar to original YotaPhone, YotaPhone 2 also comes with two displays.
Initially, Yota Devices has launched the smartphone in select markets which include Russia and UK. Yota Devices has priced the YotaPhone 2 in Russia at 32,990 Rubles, whereas the same cost 699 Euros in Europe and 555 GBP in the UK.
According to YotaDevices, the YotaPhone 2 will be launched in 20 European countries by the end of 2014, and will be available in other Asian markets in Q1 of 2015. The same will be available in Hong Kong before 2014-end, followed by Taiwan and China.
On the specifications front, YotaPhone 2 comes with a 5-inch Full HD AMOLED display on front and 4.7-inch qHD e-paper display on the back with Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB RAM and Android 4.4 KitKat. The smartphone measures 144 x 69.5 x 8.9 mm and weights 145 grams.
Other specifications include an 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 2.1MP front facing camera, 32GB internal storage and 2,550 mAh battery with wireless charging support. Connectivity series include 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and A-GPS / GLONASS.
