The HTC Hima that is likely to be the codename of the vendor’s flagship model One (M9) is circulating heavily on rumors and speculations for quite sometime. Now, entrusted leakster @upleaks has come up with details regarding the alleged One (M8) sequel. The report is also backed by a leaked AnTuTu benchmark screenshot revealing key specifications.

Going by the report, the HTC Hima smartphone will come with a 5-inch display and instead of packing Quad HD resolution it will retain the Full HD 1080p resolution itself. Even internally, the device will stick onto a Snapdragon 810 chipset using an ARM designed 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz teamed up with an Adreno 430 graphics unit and 3GB of RAM.

The device is claimed to feature a great enhancement in the imaging department with a 20.7MP primary camera that will further improve the range of the device. It is also likely to flaunt a 13MP front facer for impressive selfies as in the Desire Eye. Other expectations are that the Hima will be launched with Android 5.0.1 Lollipop topped with Sense 7.0 UI.

HTC Desire More Teaser

Lately, HTC has been sending invites for the tech media for a special press event to be held on January 5, 2015 in Las Vegas during the pre-CES days. It is pretty clear that the flagship Hima will not make its way into the CES as it is scheduled for a MWC launch in March. Hence, we know that the Taiwanese vendor will not be launching its flagship model at the next week’s event. But, what is it planning to launch then?

The  latest teaser on Weibo spotted by @upleaks reads, “Always Desire more” and this clearly hints that the vendor will be launching one or more Desire smartphones at the CES. The arrival of Desire smartphones was known earlier as the vendor announced to introduce them early in 2015.
