Google announced the Nexus 6 smartphone last year in October. The smartphone is the successor of Nexus 5 and is the first Nexus phone with huge 5.96-inch display. Nexus 6 is built in partnership with Motorola and is based on 2nd gen Moto X smartphone. Google launched the Nexus 6 in India two months after its official announcement with hefty price tag of Rs. 43,999 for base 32GB variant.
Such a huge price cut of Nexus device indicates either of the two; Google was unable to create hype of Nexus 6 in the country or Google has plans to launch the next generation Nexus smartphones (LG & Huawei) in the country soon after its launch.
To remind you, Google Nexus 6 comes with a 5.96-inch Quad HD AMOLED display, 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, Adreno 420 GPU, 3GB RAM and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The smartphone measures 159.26 x 82.98 x 10.06 mm and weights 184 grams.
Other specifications include an 13MP rear camera with dual-LED ring flash, 4K recording support and OIS, 2MP front facing camera, 32GB / 64GB internal storage without expandable support and 3,220 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac 2x2 MIMO, GPS and NFC support.
