As scheduled, Asus has officially launched the camera centric Zenfone smartphone in the country. Dubbed as Asus Zenfone Zoom, the smartphone was originally announced way back last year at CES. As the name suggest, the Zenfone Zoom comes with optical zoom functionality and is tagged as the thinnest 3x optical zoom smartphone in the world.
Asus has launched the Zenfone Zoom in India in two colour options, white and leather black. The smartphone is exclusively available from e-retailer Flipkart for Rs. 37,999. Asus is also offering a bundled package of Rs. 39,999 which includes Zenfone Zoom, Zenflash and Tripod.

On the imagining front, the Zenfone Zoom features an 13MP rear camera with 3x optical zoom, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), Laser auto focus, f/2.7-4.8 aperture and dual-LED Real Tone flash. For selfies we have 5MP front-facing camera, along with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage space, which is again expandable up to 128GB via microSD.

Other specifications include 3,000 mAh battery with ASUS BoostMaster fast charging, allowing device to charge from 0 to 70% in just 39 minutes.
