Xiaomi last week at an event in China officially took the wraps of its flagship smartphone in Redmi series. Called Xiaomi Redmi Pro, the smartphone is a new addition in companies Redmi lineup and comes with dual rear camera setup. Featuring top-notch specs and premium build, the Redmi Pro starts at 1499 Yuan in China.
The device is now available in China in three color options - Gold, Silver and Gray. Xiaomi is launching the Redmi Pro in three different variants, the standard, the high-end and the premium.
Talking about the device now, Xiaomi Redmi Pro is made up of brushed metal and comes with 2.5D curved glass display. On the front, we have fingerprint scanner embedded inside the home button. Both power and volume buttons are placed on the right side of the device, with SIM card tray on the left.
Bottom we have USB Type-C port accompanied by speaker and microphone, with top holds secondary microphone, 3.5mm headphone jack and infrared sensor.
On imaging front, the Redmi Pro comes with an 13MP primary rear camera accompanied with 5MP secondary rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF, Sony IMX258 sensor and f/2.0 aperture. The secondary camera is joined by a depth of field image processor that adds depth information and produces DSLR-like image.
For selfies and other activities, we get an 5MP front-facing camera with 85-degree wide-angle lens and f/2.0 aperture. Powering the unit is 4050mAh battery. The device supports hybrid dual SIM tray (micro + nano/microSD). Connectivity series include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS + GLONASS.
The standard variant of Redmi Pro comes with 2.1GHz deca-core Helio X20 processor with Mali-T880MP4 GPU, 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. This variant is priced at 1499 Yuan (~ US$225 / Rs. 15,000).
The high-end variant on the other-hand comes with 2.3GHz deca-core Helio X25 processor, 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage and is priced at 1699 Yuan (~ US$255 / Rs. 17,060).
Finally, we have the premium variant which features 2.5GHz deca-core Helio X25 processor, 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. This variant will cost 1999 Yuan (~ US$300 / Rs. 20,070).
