Samsung has officially took the wraps off its all new Galaxy A 2017 series smartphones. The latest Galaxy A series include the Galaxy A3 (2017) with 4.7-inch display, the Galaxy A5 (2017) with 5.2-inch display and the Galaxy A7 (2017) with 5.7-inch display. All the three smartphones comes with mid-range specs and hosts Samsung's premium design heritage.
According to Samsung, the newly announced Galaxy A series will be available in four stylish colors including Black Sky, Gold Sand, Blue Mist and Peach Cloud (Pink).
The devices will be available in Russia and select Asian markets starting later this month, followed by February availability in Europe. No word on pricing of the new Galaxy A (2017) series at present.
Talking of the design, the Galaxy A3 (2017), the Galaxy A5 (2017) and the Galaxy A7 (2017) smartphones features a premium metal frame and 3D glass back, similar to what we see in the Galaxy S7.
Additionally, all the three smartphones comes with IP68 water and dust resistance certification; the same rating as the Galaxy S7. IP68 rating means the devices can survive in up to 5 feet of water for up to 30 minutes.
Other features include, Always on Display — allowing users to quickly glance at the time and calendar without waking up the device, saving time and battery and Secure Folder with fingerprint support — where users can separate private data and keep the contents safe.
On the imaging front, the Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017) smartphones comes with front and rear 16-megapixel cameras, which as per Samsung are now more stable with accurate autofocus, resulting in vibrant and clear photos and selfie even in low-light conditions.
Samsung has included a floating camera button which allows users to easily snap a high-resolution selfie just by tapping anywhere on the screen. It uses the display as a front flash for bright pictures. The UI of camera is improved as well, including easy swipe to quickly change modes or instant filters to activate picture effects.
“Users can leverage modes such as the Food Mode, to optimize photos and enhance the color of images,” details Samsung.
