If you are 90's kid, you might be aware of highly praised and popular game Super Mario. Soon Mario will be available for Android smartphones, but don't expect this version of Mario to be the same as it used to be while playing using console. Called Super Mario Run, the game was announced by Nintendo at Apple's event in September as an iOS-first release.

The game was released for iOS couple of weeks ago and gained huge publicity amongst gamers, allowing it to surpass threshold of 40 million downloads within three days, generating around $14 million.

Super Mario Run is now listed on Play Store and is available for pre-registration. The same pre-registration tactic was used by Nintendo for iOS. It should be noted that, it took three months for Nintendo to actually release the game for iOS after pre-registrations went live.

The game page on Play Store is no different compared to other listings. It consists of screenshots and gameplay trailer (embedded below).

Talking about the game in detail, Super Mario Run is a new kind of Mario game that can be played with one hand.
In this game, Mario constantly moves forward through the courses while you use a variety of jumps to navigate. Mario will behave differently depending on the timing of your taps, so it's up to you to show off particularly smooth moves, gather coins, and reach the goal.
Nintendo also describes that internet connectivity is required to play the game to keep privacy check and a small portion of Super Mario Run will be available for free to play (up to three levels, to be specific). To enjoy all of the game content available, users will have to do an in-app purchase of probably $10, similar to iOS release.
