Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6 running Android 7.1.1 Nougat officially launched in India starting Rs. 9,499

Nokia, the brand everyone once owned before Android and iOS took over the market, is back into the smartphone business. Nokia is now a part of the Finnish company called HMD Global. The same has bragged exclusive rights of using Nokia's branding for the next 10 years.

Soon after acquiring Nokia's branding, earlier this year at MWC 2017, HMD Global officially announced the first three mid-range Nokia smartphones running on Android called the Nokia 3, the Nokia 5 and the Nokia 6, all for the global market.

HMD Global has now officially launched all the three Nokia Android smartphones in the Indian market. The Nokia 3, the Nokia 5 and the Nokia 6 are mid-range devices running on stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat. According to HMD Global, the Nokia 3 and the Nokia 5 will be available exclusively via brick and mortar retailers (offline stores), where the Nokia 6 is exclusive to Amazon.

Talking of customer service, HMD Global will set Nokia Mobile Care in over 300 cities across India with support for pick-up-and-drop in additional 100 cities including Web, Chat and Call support. You can read the pricing, availability, and specifications of these smartphones individually below.

Nokia 6

Nokia 6 is the most premium Nokia smartphone out of all three launched. The Nokia 6 comes with a metal unibody design with fingerprint scanner placed on the front below the main display. The fingerprint scanner doubles as a physical home button with back and menu/multitasking button on the either sides.

HMD Global has launched the Nokia 6 in India for Rs. 14,999. The smartphone will be exclusively available from Amazon India starting July 14th. As an introductory offer, Amazon Prime Customers will get an additional Rs. 1,000 off on the Nokia 6 when bought the device using Amazon Pay.

Nokia 5, on the other hand, is similar to the Nokia 6 having metal unibody design but in a smaller form factor. HMD Global has priced the Nokia 5 in India for Rs. 12,899. The smartphone will be available exclusively via offline retailer with pre-booking starts July 7th.

Last but not the least, the Nokia 3 is a budget Android smartphone from HMD Global. The smartphone misses out fingerprint scanner and is made up of polycarbonate. The Nokia 3, similar to the Nokia 5 will be available exclusively via offline stores for Rs. 9,499 starting June 16th.
