Launched back in October 2018, the Huawei Y9 2019 is a new budget Android smartphone from Huawei which comes with dual-cameras on both the front and the rear of the smartphone.
Amazon India, today, has started teasing the launch of the Huawei Y9 2019 in India. The teaser page does not mention the launch date or any additional details besides users can register to get an email on when the Y9 2019 will be launched and made available.
Huawei Y9 2019 comes in three color options including Midnight Black, Sapphire Blue, and Aurora Purple. Housing a plastic body with finely crafted 3D arc design, the Y9 2019 comes with a 6.5-inch 19.5:9 ratio display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 2.5D curved glass. In terms of performance, the device is powered by Octa-core Kirin 710 SoC built on 12nm architecture with ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU.
Weighing 173 grams and 8.05mm thickness, the Y9 2019 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.2 on top. The device will be available in two different configurations, 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage, with expandable storage using microSD card.
Camera specifications include 13MP f/1.8 + 2MP f/2.4 rear camera with LED flash, and 16MP f/2.0 + 2MP f/2.4 front-facing camera. According to Huawei, the rear camera can intelligently recognize scenes and is trained to see more than 500 scene types by creating 22 category labels to provide real-time optimization.
Other specifications include dual-SIM support, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, 4000mAh battery with fast charging support, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0 and GPS / AGPS / Glonass.
