Huawei Ascend P6 Officially Announced, World's Slimmest Smartphone
Huawei has officially announced the World's Slimmest Smartphone dubbed as Ascend P6 today. The smartphone will join company's rest of Ascend series smartphone line-up. According to Huawei, Ascend P6 is just, just 6.18mm thick, making it to be the slimmest smartphone in the world. China will be the first country in the world to welcome Ascend P6 this month, followed by July release in selected European markets and then the phone will be launched in other countries.
According to the press release published by Huawei, Ascend P6 sports 4.7-inch HD LCD display having 1280x720p resolution and 312PPI density, 1.5GHz Quad-Core Huawei K3V2 Processor, 2GB RAM and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Emotion UI 1.6.
The smartphone also features 8GB inbuilt memory, which can be expanded till 32GB via microSD Card, 8MP rear camera with BSI sensor, F2.0 aperture, LED Flash and 4cm macro view with 5MP front facing camera with feature support for "selfies". Both the camera's are capable of recording Full HD 1080p Videos. Ascend P6 also has a 2000mAh Battery and is 6.18mm thin, and weighs only 120g.
The user interface of Ascend P6 includes updates to Uni-Home including enhanced security, Huawei’s Me Widget, MagicTouch and SmartReading. The device also comes with support for panoramic shoot, facial recognition photography functions and AirShare, which allows users to easily share documents or even play multiplayer games with minimal lag.
