6.44-inch Sony Xperia Z Ultra now available in India for Rs. 44,990

The world's biggest and slimmest Full HD smartphone, which was launched last month by Sony at Mobile Asia Expo is now available in India for Rs. 44,990. Dubbed as Sony Xperia Z Ultra, the handset is the world's biggest smartphone and is also the world's slimmest Full HD smartphone with just 6.5mm thickness. The Sony Xperia Z Ultra is also the world's first smartphone running on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 processor. In addition, Xperia Z Ultra is also the first smartphone to come with company's TRILUMINOS display.

To remind you all, Sony Xperia Z Ultra comes with 6.44-inch Full HD 1920x1080p resolution TRILUMINOS display with X-Reality for mobile with 342PPI density, 2.2GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974 - LTE/MSM8274 - HSPA+) processor, Adreno 330 Graphics, 2GB RAM and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

The smartphone also support handwriting recognition and is compatible with any pen/stylus input on the screen (capacitive stylus or metal pen with tip diameter over 1mm). Other features include, 8MP rear camera with  Exmos RS sensor, 2MP front facing camera, 16GB internal memory with 64GB expandable memory using microSD Card, 3000mAh Battery, 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 820.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA, aGPS, ANT+, GLONASS and NFC.

Sony Xperia Z Ultra is 6.5mm thick and weighs only 212 grams. The smartphone is fully water and dust resistant having IP55/IP58 certification, which means that the device can be dipped in 1.5m water for 30mins easily. The pricing of Xperia Z Ultra looks quite decent, considering the specifications. The smartphone is currently available for order on Saholic for Rs. 44,990, which actually is the discounted rate. Sony is expected to price Xperia Z Ultra for Rs. 46,990.
