As promised, HTC has officially unveiled the wraps of from the new desire series device in Taiwan today. Dubbed as HTC Desire 500, the smartphone is the new mid-range handset from HTC. The smartphone will join company's previously launched Desire 200 and Desire 600 smartphone in mid-range segment. According to HTC press release, Desire 500 will be sold for NT$11,900 in Taiwan which is approx. Rs. 23,740.
The smartphone will be available for sale in Taiwan from tomorrow on-wards and from August 1, the Desire 500 will be available at HTC and Taiwan Mobile stores. The smartphone looks over priced considering the specs, still lets hope that HTC will price the Desire 500 in India for less than or near about Rs. 20K and not more than that.
Coming to the specification part, the HTC Desire 500 comes with an 4.3-inch WVGA display having resolution of 800x480 p resolution, 1.2GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, 1GB RAM and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 5.0 on top of it. HTC has also included some of the features of HTC One on this smartphone like, the HTC Blinkfeed and HTC Video Highlights.
