Remember that alleged image of Google Nexus 5 which was leaked last week?
Unfortunately, the device inside that picture was not the Google Nexus 5, but was actually the new LG L-II series smartphone, the LG Optimus L9 II, which has been leaked quite few times. The smartphone was again leaked last night by Evleaks and is now officially official. LG has officially unveiled the LG Optimus L9 II today in Netherlands.

LG Optimus L9 II

According to the press release issued by LG, the smartphone will come with 4.7-inch True HD IPS display, 1.4GHz dual-core processor probably with Snapdragon S4 MSM8320 chipset, 2150mAh battery and IR-blaster for QuickRemote. The pricing is still a mystery for now, and the device is expected to go on sale in October.

There is no word on storage, ram, graphics and camera, but if yesterday's leaked information is to be believed true, then the smartphone will carry 8GB internal storage with 32GB expandable, 1GB RAM, Adreno 305 GPU and 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 1.3MP front facing camera.

The smartphone will be joining the company's already available L-II style series smartphones like Optimus L1 II, L3 II, L4 II, L5 II and L7 II.

LG Optimus L9 II mistaken as Nexus 5

Coming back to Google Nexus 5, according to Evleaks, the image which TechTastic leaked a week ago (above) was not the upcoming Nexus 5 but was actually the Optimus L9 II. As per their sources, the next-generation Nexus 5 or the Nexus 4 v2 like Nexus 7 2013, will be manufactured by Motorola itself.
