BlackBerry Messenger for Android and iOS coming soon.

You all must have heard this long time back and after so many months (actually three), the beta version of the application is now available for the users. Three months ago, during the BlackBerry Live Keynote Event in Florida, BlackBerry announced that they will soon be launching BlackBerry Heart, the BlackBerry Messenger for Android and iOS platform and wohoo, today we are having some snaps of the application running on Android, thanks to BlackBerryOS and BGR.

First photos came from BGR, which only revealed the Sign In page of the BBM App, and later on after few hours BlackBerryOS.com came up with some in-app design. According to the report published by BGR.com, the app looks and functions quite well on Android and are confirming that the app will be released in the coming weeks on both Android and iOS devices. While, BlackBerry insists BBM would be launched on Android and iOS towards the end of summer, somewhat around in September.

After BGR, now its time for BlackBerryOS to showdown their report. BlackBerryOS are reporting that the beta version of BBM App for both Android and iOS has become available for selected developers. The app is only available to the Developers and on BlackBerry's Beta Zone. BlackBerry is sending out mail to the users of Beta Zone to try out the Cross-platform BBM app before it gets released worldwide later this summer.

As you can read the mail in the image above, the app is compatible with devices running on Android 4.0+ and iOS 6+. The pics that have leaked through BlackBerryOS.com are more helpful and show the actual app itself. The app is quite similar to BlackBerry's native version and is said to run quite smoothly too. It looks like the app will employ the left-side drawer much like the BlackBerry Hub app on BB10, and have menu buttons across the bottom to easily navigate through contacts, groups and settings.

With the beta version made available to developers, it is now highly likely that we will see the app later this month or next month, as reported by BlackBerry.
