After launching Android 4.3 Jelly Bean last month, Google is back to their updating process. The company started rolling out the Android 4.3 update for all Nexus devices last month and recently the company has started rolling out Android 4.3 update for their Google Play Edition devices. The update is rolling out for Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One Google Play Edition smartphones. As usual, the update are released via OTA (over-the-air).
The update for HTC One Google Play Edition is 185.5MB in size, while the update for Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition is 150.7MB in size. The update brings new build number and build date on both the smartphones, which is JWR66V and Thu August 1st, 2013 respectively.
Below is the list of changes which will take place after the update is successfully installed,
- Android 4.3 Jelly Bean changes like Bluetooth Smart, OpenGL ES 3.0, DRM APIs, Background WiFi location, Dial-Pad autocomplete and more
- Working Infrared on HTC One
- Samsung Galaxy S4 gets Bluetooth Tethering
- Gradient replaces Solid Background in settings
- Icon Sizes increased on both the smartphones
