XOLO rolling out new OTA update for XOLO Play, brings performance improvement

XOLO has started rolling-out a new software update for XOLO Play. According to XOLO, the new update brings improvement in performance of the smartphone. XOLO Play was officially launched last month for Rs. 15,999 running on NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor. The phone runs on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box, and can be updated to 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Unfortunately, the new update does not bring Android 4.2 Jelly Bean on it.

XOLO has started rolling-out a new software update for XOLO Play. According to XOLO, the new update brings improvement in performance of the smartphone. XOLO Play was officially launched last month for Rs. 15,999 running on NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor. The phone runs on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box, and can be updated to 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Unfortunately, the new update does not bring Android 4.2 Jelly Bean on it.

XOLO Play

The update is available over-the-air (OTA). You can manually check for the update from Settings > About phone > System updates. If you are having any issue with that procedure, then you can follow the instructions given by the company on their website

The official change-log is not yet available, but as per XOLO the update brings only performance improvement and nothing else. If you have updated your Play, then do let us know your reviews about the update in the comment section below.

To remind you all, XOLO Play comes with an 4.7-inch HD IPS with OGS (One Glass Solution) technology display, 1.5GHz Quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 with 5th Battery-Saver Core Processor, 416MHz 12 Core NVIDIA ULP GeForce, 1GB RAM and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.

The smartphone also comes with 8MP auto focus rear camera with BSI Sensor, LED flash & Full HD 1080p recording along with 2MP front facing camera, 4GB internal memory with microSD card slot and 2000mAh Battery.
