Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for HTC One now rolling out in Taiwan, Canada by the end of September

Android 4.3 Jelly Bean has finally reached on HTC One. HTC has started rolling out Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for HTC One in Taiwan today. The update as usual is available via OTA (over-the-air). As the update is rolled out in batches, it might take few days to reach out your smartphone. As soon as your One is ready for the update, you will be notified automatically. Still you can manually check for the update daily by going to Settings > About Phone > Software Updates.


The news was reported by LlabTooFeR on his twitter account, and according to the image posted by him along with the tweet, the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update will bring the following list of changes,

  • Android 4.3 update
  • Battery charging animation in power-off state
  • Improvements to color contrasts in low light situations
  • Video Highlights: Add favorite soundtracks to your highlights
The update brings new firmware version which is 3.18.709.2, and is about 512.22MB in size.

In addition to the news, Jason Mackenzie, President of HTC America, has revealed on twitter that, HTC One Developer Edition will be getting the Android 4.3 update this week, followed by regular HTC One in Canada by month end.
