Android 4.4 screenshots leaked, reveals new camera UI, Miracast and integrated Payments and Printing

Our last post featured a Nexus 5 image and its specifications, and this post features the Android 4.4 screenshots. An early build of Android 4.4 has leaked out and for the first time we get to see a very detailed screenshot-backed report of what the upcoming KitKat version looks like. These images, which you will find below, has been leaked by Gadget Helpline. The leaked images are likely taken from an Android phone running an older build of Android 4.4 - as there are several mentions of Key Lime Pie rather than KitKat.

Our last post featured a Nexus 5 image and its specifications, and this post features the Android 4.4 screenshots. An early build of Android 4.4 has leaked out and for the first time we get to see a very detailed screenshot-backed report of what the upcoming KitKat version looks like. These images, which you will find below, has been leaked by Gadget Helpline. The leaked images are likely taken from an Android phone running an older build of Android 4.4 - as there are several mentions of Key Lime Pie rather than KitKat.

As you can see in the images, the next Android version will bring integration for Printing and Payments system, which brings wireless NFC payment to the main Android architecture, rather than relying on third party apps. The Android 4.4 update will also bring Miracast, which will let you screencast your device to a supported TV.

It looks like, KitKat will also bring some new pre-loaded Google apps along, like Google's note taking app Keep and the cloud based office suite Drive. The Drive let's us access our documents on Google's Cloud Storage service, and the Keep is used for taking notes.

The camera app on KitKat has also been improved with new filters, like seen on Instagram. The app now comes with wide range of effects and a print menu that allows us to save the image as a PDF, or print to a local or network printer.

Android 4.4 KitKat is rumoured to arrive at the end of this month, along with Nexus 5 and Nexus 10 2013.
