Sony has officially announced the mini version of Xperia Z1. Dubbed as Sony Xperia Z1 f, the smartphone is launched by Japanese telecom operator NTT DoCoMo as a part of it's Winter 2013 line-up of mobile devices. The Xperia Z1 f comes in four colours, Black, White, Pink and Lime, and will go on sale in Japan in late December 2013.
Other than the screen size, resolution and battery, rest all specifications and features of Xperia Z1 f is similar to original Xperia Z1, which include Snapdragon 800 processor and 20.7MP rear camera. The smartphone runs on NTT Docomo's extra-high-speed next-generation LTE service, Xi (Crossy). There is no word on pricing.
Talking about the specifications, the Xperia Z1 f comes with a 4.3-inch HD Triluminos X-Reality for mobile display, 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage.
The smartphone also features, 20.7MP rear camera with Sony G Lens & Exmor RS sensor, 2.2MP front facing camera, 2,300 mAh battery, IP55/IP58 certification (dust and water resistance), Xi LTE connectivity, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac , Bluetooth 4.0 with APT-X, GLONASS, MHL and NFC support. Sony Xperia Z1 f is 9.4mm thick and weighs 140 grams.
