Google officially launches Nexus 7 (2013) in India, 16GB WiFi only available for Rs. 20,999, 32GB for Rs. 23,999 and 32GB 3G/LTE for Rs. 27,999

It isn't only Nexus 5 which Google has launched in India today. Along with Nexus 5, Google has also started selling the new Nexus 7 tablet in India. The Nexus 7 (2013) is now available for purchase from Google Play in different versions. The 16GB WiFi only version cost Rs. 20,999, while the 32GB WiFi only cost Rs. 23,999 and the 32GB 3G/LTE version is available for Rs. 27,999.

Google has also listed the Nexus 7 Sleeve on Google Play for Rs. 1,999. The Sleeve is currently listed as coming soon, and is expected to be available in coming weeks. 

The form fitting neoprene sleeve features an asymmetrical zipper for quick and easy access. The sleeve is both padded for cushioning and lined with soft microfiber fur to protect your device from scratches. A convenient outer pocket keeps all of your accessories close at hand. Compatible with all models of Nexus 7.

Nexus 7 (2013) was originally announced back in July, and comes with a 7.02-inch 1920x1200p HD IPS display, 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB RAM, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean (4.4 KitKat available), 3,950 mAh battery, 5MP rear camera, 1.2MP front facing camera and 16GB/32GB internal storage.

Other specifications include, Bluetooth 4.0, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4G/5G) 802.11 a/b/g/n, NFC, wireless charging and SlimPort support.

In addition to the news, Google has removed the Nexus 7 (2012) from Play Store. With the availability of Nexus 7 (2013) in India, the original Nexus 7 is no longer available from Google Play in any country around the world. But, the tablet is still available for purchase from online retailer Flipkart for as low as Rs. 8,999.
