You read the title right, LG has actually started rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat update for LG Optimus G in Estonia. The news was reported by LG's own Facebook page in that nation. The update is currently available only to those LG Optimus G users who are customers of telecom operator Elisa in Estonia.
There is no word on when the update will reach other regions of the world, but considering the update is already available in Estonia, it should not take much time, hope so in a week or two.
While the Optimus G has got the Android 4.4 KitKat update, LG's this year flagship, LG G2, is still stuck on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. If previous reports are believed to be true, then LG will be updating the G2 to 4.4 KitKat next year in March.
It should be noted that, LG has really done a great job in updating the last year flagship device so early to Android 4.4, since the company has a very poor track record in providing software updates.
