Karbonn has been giving tough competition to the likes of the Micromax and XOLO in India by launching a slew of budget smartphones in the country. The latest to join the ranks is the Karbonn Titanium S5i, which is a cheaper variant of its sibling Titanium S5. The smartphone is now available from online retailer HomeShop18. It has been made available at a price of Rs 7,999.

Karbonn Titanium S5i

Let us have a look at its specifications -
  • Display: It comes with a 5-inch FWVGA capacitive display which has a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels.
  • Operating System: It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean which is pretty good for a device with this price.
  • Processor: A 1GHz dual-core processor takes charge of the processing needs.
  • Camera: It has an 8MP autofocus camera at the rear which gets coupled with a LED flash and you get a VGA (0.3MP) camera up front to aid video calling and vanity checks.
  • RAM: You get a 512MB RAM to facilitate multitasking and you can not really expect more than this in the sub Rs 8,000 price bracket.
  • Memory: There's no information on internal storage as of now but we believe it will be 512MB but what has been confirmed is that it will have an expandable storage up to 32GB using microSD card.
  • Connectivity: You get 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth with A2DP and GPS for connectivity.
  • Battery: A 2,000 mAh battery is what gives the device the juice to run.
The smartphone will be made available in Deep Blue and White colours. The device accounts for a good one considering the price, but you can go in for a quad-core smartphone if you spend a little more, with the XOLO Q700S being the prime choice for a budget quad core device.
