Lava Iris Pro 30 with 4.7-inch HD IPS display, quad-core processor officially launched in India for Rs. 15,999

Lava has officially launched its latest flagship smartphone in India today. Dubbed as Lava Iris Pro 30, the smartphone is the first under the theme of "Art meets Smart" aka Iris Pro series. The smartphone comes in two colours, black and grey and is priced at Rs. 15,999. According to Lava, the Iris Pro 30 will be available across India soon, as soon as next week.

On the specifications front, the Iris Pro 30 comes with a 4.7-inch HD IPS display with One Glass Solution (OGS) technology and Gorilla Glass protection, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, PowerVR SGX 544 GPU, 1GB RAM, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and dual-SIM support (normal+micro).

The smartphone also comes with a 8MP rear camera with dual LED flash, 3MP front facing camera, 4GB internal storage with up to 32GB expandable memory using microSD card and 2,000 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 3G support, USB OTG, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS.

The Iris Pro 30 is just 7.5 mm thick, weighing only 114 grams and uses Content Adaptive Backlight Control (CABC) technology, which automatically reduces screen brightness resulting in 30% more battery life. Lava has also included range of software features such as smart answering, direct calling, flip to mute, call recorder, sound and shot and voice & face unlocking.

In addition, Lava has revealed that they will be launching new phones under Iris Pro series in the coming months, these will be called Iris Pro 25 and Iris Pro 40.
