Samsung Galaxy Gear gets a huge price drop, to retail in India for just Rs. 14,999

Samsung launched the Galaxy Gear in India in September 2013 for Rs. 22,990. And after four months since launch, the company has officially dropped the price of the smartwatch to Rs. 14,999. The Galaxy Gear will now retail in India for Rs. 14,999. Even though online retailers are yet to drop the price of the Smartwatch, Samsung is selling the Galaxy Gear through their official Samsung India eStore for Rs. 15,290.

This is the second price drop for Gear after the launch, the first price drop happened two weeks ago. The price has fallen by almost 40%, which indicates the kind of demand that the product is getting in the market. The price drop was first reported by Mahesh Telecom on Twitter.

To remind you, the Galaxy Gear comes with a 1.63-inch Super AMOLED display, 800MHz processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory, 315 mAh battery and 1.9MP camera with Sound & Shot feature.

The smartwatch also notifies users of incoming messages, such as calls, texts, emails and alerts, delivers a preview of those messages and creates the opportunity for users to accept or discreetly ignore those messages.
