Few weeks ago we saw the first screenshots of Samsung's next-generation TouchWiz user interface and today @evleaks has leaked a new set of screenshots which suggests that Samsung is planning to integrate a cards-based home screen in the next version of its user interface. This cards-based home screen shows contextual information similar to Google Now.

In related to the news, The Korean Herald is reporting that Samsung is skipping the iris scanner technology for the Galaxy S5, and focusing more on fingerprint scanner.

Samsung's new smartphone UI

Talking about the interface first, as you can see in the images, the UI looks similar to Samsung's Magazine UX, which was launched alongside the company's latest Android tablets, the NotePRO and the TabPRO tablets. Also the interface resembles to HTC's BlinkFeed, which shows information tiles on one page of the home screen, though with more features and classic design.

As mentioned above, the image shows off contextual information similar to Google Now, including room temperature, flight status, match scores, current location, text messages, fitness related details, delivery tracking details, social media notifications, order details, reminders and even event related information.

No more details are available with us at them moment, but it is quite confirmed that the updated user interface, with serious changes, will debut on the Galaxy S5, which is the next flagship device from Samsung.

Samsung's new smartphone UI

Coming to Galaxy S5 now, according to The Korean Herald report, Samsung will go for fingerprint authentication rather than unintuitive user experience of iris recognition for its Galaxy S5.

According to the report, Samsung is working on putting fingerprint sensors under the display panel so that users can scan their fingerprints on the display, rather than placing the finger on the home button like Apple has on the iPhone 5s.

Also, in addition, according to PhoneArena's tipster, the Galaxy S5 will come with a 2K Quad-HD display, 20MP rear camera and 2,900 mAh battery with rapid charging technology.

As per previous reports, the Galaxy S5 would arrive in March with a Snapdragon 805 processor, 4GB RAM and Android 4.4.2 KitKat with revamped TouchWiz UI. We will update the post as soon as we hear more about the device.
