Oppo has officially launched a new mid-range Android smartphone in India today. Dubbed as Oppo Neo, it is the second device from the Chinese company to land in India, after Oppo N1, which comes with a hefty price tag. The smartphone comes in Black and White colours and is priced at Rs. 11,990. The company has not revealed the availability details of the Oppo Neo for the Indian market, but notes that the smartphone will be available soon.
Originally announced in Indonesia last month, the Oppo Neo comes with a 4.5-inch IPS FWVGA display with Glove mode, 1.3GHz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Oppo's ColorOS skin on top.
Other specifications include dual-SIM support, 5MP AF rear camera, 2MP front facing camera, 4GB internal storage with up to 32GB expandable using microSD card and 1,900 mAh battery. Connectivity series include WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, 3G HSPA+ support and GPS.
Feature-wise, the smartphone comes with Quick Reach feature, which is Oppo's gesture-based feature that lets you draw a pattern on the screen and double tap on the display to trigger apps quickly.
