Samsung is going to announce the much-awaited Samsung Galaxy S5 in less than hour, and before the event goes live, a lot of details about the Galaxy S5 has been leaked online. The details was leaked by premature publication of a hands on post by Pocket-Lint, UK tech news website (the page doesn't exist anymore, neither Google web cache works). But we have luckily saved all the text of the page and images, which you can find below.

Samsung is going to announce the much-awaited Samsung Galaxy S5 in few minutes, and before the event goes live, a lot of details about the Galaxy S5 has been leaked online. The details was leaked by premature publication of a hands on post by Pocket-Lint, UK tech news website (the page doesn't exist anymore, neither Google web cache works). But we have luckily saved all the text of the page and images, which you can find below.

According to Pocket-lint's post, the Galaxy S5 comes with a 5.0-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, rather than Quad-HD 2K display as rumoured. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with revamped TouchWiz user-interface. A swipe to the left of the homescreen brings Samsung's My Magazine page, which acts similar to Google's Google Now present on the Nexus 5.

Samsung has made the Galaxy S5 again with plastic. Also, the smartphone is IP67 certified, which means Galaxy S5 is water and dust resistant.

The Galaxy S5 comes with a 16MP rear camera with LED flash. The camera can take shots within 0.3 seconds, and can record 4K Ultra-HD videos at 3840 x 2160 resolution. There's also a new feature called Selective focus, that allows you to shoot an item in the foreground and after it's taken you can choose to focus on that item, on the background, or on both.

There is also some new HDR Live mode which allegedly lets you see how the HDR photo will look like even before you take it.

The Galaxy S5 also comes with a heart rate sensor, which is located on the back of the device, just below the camera, under the LED flash, so your index finger naturally sits ready to be scanned. The heart rate sensor pairs with Samsung's S Health 3.0 app.

The most important feature of the Galaxy S5 is the presence fingerprint scanner, which is embedded in the home key. Swiping the finger eight times on the button will teach the S5 to record your print, so when you need to unlock the device in future your print is recognised. Up to three fingerprints can be registered at one time. The scanner can also be used with PayPal to authroise payments for items within the browser.

Samsung has also included a new Download Booster feature, which uses both Wi-Fi and LTE for superfast downloads. Design-wise, the Galaxy S5 front looks somewhat similar to the Galaxy S4, though the back features a matte plastic with some dotted texture. Samsung Galaxy S5 will be available in four colours at the time of launch which include Gold, White, Black and Blue.

The Unpacked 5 event is going to start in few minutes, so get ready an tighten your seatbelts, as Samsung will be announcing "The NEXT GALAXY".
