Karbonn has announced the launch of a (not exactly) new smartphone in India today at an press event held in New Delhi. Dubbed as Karbonn Titanium Hexa, the smartphone is powered by MediaTek's newly baked MT9591 hexa-core processor. Karbonn is the first Indian smartphone vendor to launch a smartphone running on KitKat OS. The Titanium Hexa comes in black and white colours and is priced at Rs. 16,990.
According to Karbonn, the Titanium Hexa will be go on sale in the country in the last week of April. On the specifications front, Karbonn Titanium Hexa comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD LTPS (Low Temperature Polysilicon) type display with scratch resistant and cleophobic coating, 1.5GHz hexa-core MediaTek MT9591 processor, 2GB RAM and Android 4.4 KitKat.
Other specifications include 13MP rear camera with LED flash, 5MP front facing camera, 16GB internal storage with expandable upto 32GB using microSD card and 2,050 mAh battery.
The smartphone is just 6.9mm thick and comes with dual-SIM support. Connectivity series include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, HSPA+ and GPS with Voice Assist.
