Last month we reported that Samsung is busy readying up the fourth generation of Galaxy Tab series, and earlier this month we saw Samsung confirming the same by listing the names of the Tab 4 series tablets in the Gear Fit compatibility list. Now, notorious leaker @evleaks has shared the first official press renders of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0.
As you can see in the images, the Tab 4 7.0 looks like a giant Galaxy S5, with similar three button configuration under the display -- physical home button in the center, capacitive back button on the right and multitasking button on the left. It looks like Samsung has permanently ditched the menu button in favour of multitasking button. Also, the volume rocker and power/lock button are now placed on the right hand side of the tablet.
Samsung will be launching three versions of the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 which include Wi-Fi only (SM-T230), 3G (SM-T231) and LTE (SM-T235). If the date mentioned in the press render is any indication, then Samsung could officially announce the Tab 4 series on April 24. No word on pricing or availability details yet.
To remind you, Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 is expected to comes with a 7-inch TFT LCD WXGA display with resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, Android 4.4 KitKat, 3MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, 8GB internal storage with up to 64GB supported microSD card slot and 4,450 mAh battery.
