Samsung launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S5 in India a few days ago. Now, the same is available for pre-order in India from official Samsung eStore. Interested buyers can pay a sum of Rs. 1,500 as the pre-booking amount, with remaining amount can be paid once the device is available and priced. Samsung is currently taking the pre-orders of only Black and White colour Galaxy S5, no word on when the Blue and Gold Galaxy S5 will land in India.
Samsung is also offering 15% Cash Back on Citibank Credit Cards. Samsung has not unveiled the final pricing of Galaxy S5, but has revealed that the device would be priced between Rs. 51,000 and Rs. 53,000. According to Mahesh Telecom, Galaxy S5 will be priced at Rs. 51,500, which translates to the fact that Citibank customers could get the device for as low as Rs. 43,700.
The Samsung Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and the Gear Fit, which were launched along with the Galaxy S5 earlier this week are not yet available for pre-order. To remind you, Gear 2 is priced at Rs. 21,900, while both the Gear 2 Neo and the Gear Fit are priced at Rs. 15,900.
Samsung Galaxy S5 was originally announced last month at MWC 2014, and comes with a 5.1-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB RAM and Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Samsung's TouchWiz user-interface on top.
The smartphone also comes with a 16MP rear camera with LED flash, 2.1MP front facing camera, 16GB / 32GB internal storage with up to 64GB supported microSD card slot and 2,800 mAh battery. Connectivity series include fifth generation Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with 2X2 MIMO, Bluetooth 4.0 BLE / ANT+, USB 3.0 (covered), NFC and IR Remote.
In addition to all those specs, the Galaxy S5 is IP67 dust and water resistant. The smartphone also comes with Ultra Power Saving Mode, Quick Connect, Download Booster, Private mode and Kids mode.
