Android 4.4.2 KitKat update now rolling out for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition)

Samsung has silently started rolling out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition). The update is currently live in Columbia for the WiFi only variant of the tablet. No word on when the 3G and LTE variants will receive the update, though it won't take much time now. The update is rolling out over-the-air and via Samsung PC software Kies.

The KitKat update for Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is rolling out in batches, so it might take some time to reach your tablet. Still you can manually check for the update by going to Settings > General > About Phone > Software Updates.

KitKat goodies include faster performance, immersive interface, cloud-print support, camera shortcut on lockscreen, default SMS app, white status bar icons, stability improvements and more.

To remind you, Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) in India last year in October for Rs. 49,990.
