Rumors are rife regarding LG’s upcoming flagship model – LG G3 and some of them claim that the device will go official in late June or early July. Recent reports claim that the cases meant for the handset are already available for sale in Chinese shops, which reveals its back design with buttons under the camera, as in its predecessor.
As per Chinese online retailer Aliexpress, alleged plastic cases of LG G3 are on sale and the holes on them provide a good idea of the port and button layouts of the handset. It appears like LG will retain its rear button placement that includes the volume rocker and power/lock buttons.
Reports claim that the one of these holes should be for the LED flash accompanying the primary camera, while the other one could be meant either for a secondary LED flash or a sensor such as fingerprint scanner or heart rate sensor similar to the one found on the Galaxy S5. The speaker is positioned below the rear mounted buttons for control.
The bottom left of the case seems to house the antenna of the DMB-H enabled Korean variant and the 3.5mm jack is at the bottom besides the microUSB port. It is believed that the cut at the top is meant for an IR blaster.
Going by the earlier reports, LG G3 will come equipped with a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and come fitted with a 5.5-inch Quad-HD display. Also, there could be 2GB/3GB of RAM, 32GB of native storage support with microSD card expansion, 13MP/16MP rear camera and a 3,000 mAh battery on-board.
The device is said to come with the IPX7 certification for water resistance. Also, there are rumors that the LG G3 will run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat that is topped with a flatter and revamped Optimus UI.
