LG G3 alleged homescreen screenshot leaked, reveal new flatter Optimus UI design
It appears like South Korean tech firm LG will opt for a flatter UI for its forthcoming flagship smartphone – LG G3. Even Samsung used flattened icons and UI elements in the recent version of TouchWiz that came along with Galaxy S5 and HTC followed the same trait for Sense 6.0 in One (M8). Now, the next iteration of user interface to be launched on LG G3 is also said to pursue the trend of utilizing flat design elements.
According to a screenshot leaked via Dutch website LGG3Kopen, claimed to be taken from LG G3 the home screen features different icons with the same basic design with fewer bevels. As a result, there is a design style resembling what other Android device makers as well as Apple and Microsoft follow.
LG has still not forgotten to use the shadows and layered elements in these home screen icons, though it has left the gaudy imagery that is seen on other devices from the firm. If the screenshot is to be believed, this could be the first sign of what LG is planning to incorporate in the upcoming iteration of its user interface.
Going by the previous rumors, LG G3 is said to arrive with a 5.5-inch 2K Quad-HD display with resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Also, it is believed to be a water resistant and dust proof smartphone to compete with the likes of its competitors such as Xperia Z2 and Galaxy S5. Still there is time for the launch of LG G3 and we need to wait until then to know more details of the phone.
