We have heard a plethora of rumors regarding the LG G3 and it was also confirmed that the handset will include a Quad HD screen resolution. Now, it appears like the G3 name gets confirmed and that the smartphone will come in a golden color variant. In addition to the leaked retail box, LG G3 has also passed through AnTuTu benchmark, revealing two models of the handset.

LG G3 retail box

Talking about the box first, The Verge has received a snap of the alleged golden LG G3 retail box. The report states that the handset is assumed to resemble the LG Isai FL that will be launched in Japan later this year. If this turns out to be true, then G3 is said to feature ultra slim bezels and buttons on its rear as its predecessor.

The report citing anonymous sources claims that the LG G3 will be released in summer and that it will arrive with a 5.5-inch QHD 2K display with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. So far, only Chinese vendors Vivo and Oppo have included QHD displays in their offerings, hence the LG G3 will be the only big ticket handset coming with such an eye-popping screen.

Coming to another news now, two LG G3 variants have passed through AnTuTu benchmark. According to AnTuTu, LG will be launching two models of G3 this year, one with Quad HD display and other one with Full HD display, similar to what Oppo did with Find 7 by launching Find 7a with Full HD display.

The LG G3 with Quad HD screen is rumoured to come with a 5.5-inch display, 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB RAM, Android 4.4 KitKat, 13MP primary camera, 2MP secondary camera and 16GB internal storage.

Whereas, the second mysterious phone which popped up on AnTuTu sports a lower Full HD display (screen size unknown), 2.3GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB RAM (more than the Quad HD variant), Android 4.4 KitKat, 13MP rear camera, 2MP front camera and 32GB internal storage.

It is not clear if this is actually a variant of the G3 or entirely a new phone, since the Full HD model sports more RAM than the high-resolution phone. LG is planning to debut its upcoming flagship smartphone G3 in late-June and release the handset sometime in July. So we have enough time to learn more about the upcoming flagship.
