Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini alleged specifications leaked, to sport a 4.5-inch HD display, quad-core processor
Samsung announced the Galaxy S5 this year in February at Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona. Soon after the announcement rumours regarding the launch of the Galaxy S5 Mini (and even the Galaxy S5 Zoom) started hitting the interweb. Now, SamMobile, specialist in leaking Samsung stuffs has leaked some alleged specs of the smartphone.
According to SamMobile, the Galaxy S5 Mini will be sporting model number SM-G800 and will come with a 4.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, quad-core Snapdragon processor (likely to be Snapdragon 400), 1.5GB RAM and Android 4.4 KitKat with Samsung's TouchWiz user interface on top.
The smartphone will also come with a 8MP rear camera, 2MP front facing camera, 16GB internal storage with expandable using microSD card and a 2,100 mAh battery. The S5 Mini will come with IR blaster, and is also expected to be water & dust resistant like its elder brother, the flagship Galaxy S5. No information is available on whether the S5 Mini will sport a heart rate sensor and fingerprint scanner.
Pricing and availability details are yet unknown, but according to earlier reports, the Galaxy S5 Mini will be launched sometime in June, with S5 Zoom in May.
