Last week Engadget reported that Google was working on bringing the stock Android camera app on the Play Store with refreshed UI and updated features. Today, Google has officially released the stock Google Camera app on the Play Store. The updated camera app comes with refreshed user-interface and many new features, including Lens Blur feature.

The Lens Blur feature adds shallow depth of field to the SLR-like photos. The updated app also brings 100% viewfinder for getting the maximum resolution from the sensor. Not only that the UI has a lot in common with the leaked screenshots of Gmail and Calender apps.

Google Camera snaps quick and easy photos and videos, and has creative picture modes like Photo Sphere, Lens Blur and Panorama.

Features
  • Photo Spheres for immersive 360º views
  • Lens Blur mode for SLR-like photos with shallow depth of field
  • Panorama mode with high resolution
  • 100% viewfinder for getting the maximum resolution from the sensor (no dropped pixels)
  • Updated UI that gets out of your way and is centered on an extra large capture button
  • Works on phones and tablets running Android 4.4+ KitKat
