Samsung Galaxy S5 Active first press render leaked online
Samsung Galaxy S5 has been off to a great start in terms of sales but has been criticised for the design it brings to the table. Even though it is waterproof, Samsung is also working on a rugged version of the device named the Galaxy S5 Active. A press shot of the same has leaked on to the interweb and the S5 Active looks like the regular Galaxy S5 with a rugged casing on top of it.
It will get physical keys up front instead of the capacitive keys. The Galaxy S4 Active’s specifications were a notch below those of the Galaxy S4. But things are going to be different this time around. The Galaxy S5 Active will come with the exact same specifications as the regular Galaxy S5.
The Galaxy S5 Active will come with the same hardware as the Galaxy S5 which includes a 5.1-inch Full HD display with a Snapdragon 801 processor ticking inside it. It has a 2GB RAM and a heart rate sensor which will surely get additional functionalities given the fact that it will be showcased as a sports ready phone too. The fingerprint scanner will skip this device.
At the back will be the same 16-megapixel camera as the S5 and will get a new Active key too that will get a slew of abilities such as taking pictures underwater. There is no word on when Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S5 Active, maybe next month a week before Galaxy PREMIERE 2014 event.
