Samsung is well known to unleash different variants of its flagship devices and the same applies to the Galaxy S5 as well. The ultimate aim of this is to deliver a product in almost every segment of the market addressing the varied demands of consumers. Following the same lines, the South Korean tech firm is claimed to be working on the usual Mini variant soon, while the camera centric Galaxy K Zoom and Galaxy S5 Active are already official.
In this circumstance, images and the entire spec sheet of the Galaxy S5 Mini have popped up providing a glance of what will be coming up soon. According to SamMobile, an unidentified tipster has claimed that the miniature variant of the Galaxy S5 will boast a similar design with rounded corners and perforated pattern at its rear panel as its bigger kin.
While retailing a similar design, the Galaxy S5 Mini is said not to compromise on the features as it is tipped to arrive with a fingerprint scanner and heart rate sensor. Furthermore, there is an 8MP rear snapper with Full HD 1080p video recording and a front-facing 2.1MP camera for making video calls.
On the storage front, the Galaxy S5 Mini will pack 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded with the help of a microSD card. The device will be based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system layered with the Samsung's latest TouchWiz user-interface. Also, it will have a slew of software features such as Ultra Power Saving Mode, Kids Mode, Private Mode and more as in the Galaxy S5.
There is no word on when Samsung will officially announce the Galaxy S5 Mini, but it is expected to happen soon.
