Samsung is one of the manufacturers that have been affected by the launch of the Moto E in the budget segment. Samsung doesn’t really have a really value for money device in the entry level range and Motorola has taken advantage of that. But Samsung plans on taking the Motorola offering head on and is working on an entry level device with model numbers SM-G357F and SM-G350E.
As per a GFXBench database sighting, the Samsung SM-G357F will come with a 4.3-inch WVGA display with a dual-core 1.2GHz Renesas MP5232 processor based on Cortex-A9 architecture under the hood coupled with a PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU. It will run on the latest version of Android, 4.4.2 KitKat and will get a 1GB RAM.
There will be 8GB of internal storage available on the device which can be expanded with the help of a microSD card. It will also get a 5MP rear camera with FHD video recording support and a 1.2MP front facing snapper.
The model number has also got itself on UAProf on Samsung. It’s not going to be a long while before the device gets launched as Moto E’s sales are going out of the roof to be precise. Stay tuned and we’ll keep you updated with all the developments.
