LG announced the G3, its this year flagship smartphone during the May-month end with Quad HD display and powerful specs. The Korean company now plans on upgrading the LG G3 from Snapdragon 801 to Snapdragon 805 SoC to improve its performance and keep it ahead of the rest. The smartphone will launch as soon as in July this year which is pretty much the time when the global roll out begins.

The smartphone's capabilities are a bit restricted as of now as the Quad HD screen requires more processing power. So the Snapdragon 805 might just be the perfect processor for it when it hits the shelves. Courtesy of the Qualcomm MDM9635 modem which is integrated into the chipset, you'd be able to get download speeds of up to 225 Mbps which is just amazing to be precise.

LG has recently trademarked the moniker G Prime so this could very well be the name of the device with the upgraded chipset when it gets launched.

LG has also trademarked F Prime, L Prime and W Prime monikers which could form an all new lineup of Prime devices for the Korean smartphone manufacturer. F and L Prime could be the top end devices in the F and L series of smartphones respectively. The W Prime moniker could be the one reserved for a Windows Phone lineup that LG may launch in future. The names are here and the future will help us put faces to these names.
